Synopsis
Jon (Christopher Long) thought he had hit rock bottom, but grief has a way of digging deeper. After the sudden death of his mother, he spirals into a fog of sadness and isolation, unable to find purpose in his days or meaning in the silence that fills their once-warm home. The world feels gray. He questions everything: his future, his worth, even his will to keep going. As he pulls away from the few people left in his life, his older sister Sophie (Emilia Luciani) refuses to let him disappear. Where Jon sees an ending, Sophie sees a beginning, a time to grieve, yes, but also a time to heal. Through quiet conversations, old family memories, and painful honesty, Sophie begins to piece together the brother she remembers. As the seasons shift, so does Jon's perspective. Sophie's unwavering presence becomes his anchor, and through their bond, he slowly rediscovers the value of connection, the power of vulnerability, and the importance of letting others in - even when it hurts. "Why Me" is a raw, emotional journey about family, loss, and the quiet strength it takes to face another day. In a world full of pain, sometimes love doesn't fix everything, but it can be enough to keep you standing.
