After proving that Marta was indeed murdered, the case begins to unravel like the threads of a web, intertwining with a long-lost painting and the trail of death that seems to follow it. Marta had come into possession of The Sleeping Nymph, a portrait painted with human blood. The Nymph depicts the face of a young woman whose name has been lost to time. Teresa starts to wonder what the missing link is. Why did Marta have a portrait of a woman murdered in 1945? And what secret was worth killing for?
