Synopsis
Gaetano and Sandra are a loving and close-knit couple, but their desire to have a child soon turns into an obstacle-filled journey. With its ironic and light-hearten tone, the series tackles the topic of infertility and the challenges of conceiving, portraying tragicomic situations that many couples might relate to. Chapter 1 After several failed attempts, they begin exploring alternative options, from improbable natural methods to pseudo scientific advice, ranging from yoga to specific post-coital positions. A friend of Sandra's even suggests the famous "grandmother's remedy," which includes aphrodisiac foods and strange ritualistic practices. Chapter 2 The two protagonists embark on a whirlwind of medical tests and appointments. One of the funniest moments of the series occurs when Gaetano has to provide a sample for a sperm test in a sterile clinic, struggling to maintain his dignity while a nurse encourages him to "relax." Chapter 3 They decide to consult a specialist, initiating a series of medical analyses and appointments. The scene in which Gaetano has to provide a sperm sample in a sterile clinic is one of the most hilarious moments of the series, as he tries to keep his composure while a nurse urges him to "relax." Chapter 4 Frustration grows, and Gaetano and Sandra's relationship is put to the test. Amid arguments, doubts, and moments of despair, they begin to wonder if they are truly ready for this journey. But the love that binds them helps them regain their connection and laugh at their misadventures. Chapter 5 Family and friends all seem to have an opinion about their situation. Sandra is bombarded with unsolicited advice, while Gaetano has to deal with insensitive comments like, "Still nothing? Are you really trying?" The couple tries to stay calm, but the social pressure starts to take its toll. Chapter 6 After a period of reflection, they decide to stop planning everything in minute detail and instead live their relationship more freely. The ending is deliberately open, leaving the audience to imagine Sandra and Gaetano's future, with a clear message: the journey matters more than the destination. The short film "G(o)od things come in two" addresses a delicate topic with sensitivity and humor, breaking the taboo surrounding infertility without ever falling into pity. The narrative, supported by brilliant dialogue and realistic situations, allows viewers to relate to the protagonists and reflect on an issue often overlooked in media representation.
