Synopsis

1946: It looks like 16-year-old boxing rookie Gustav Scholz has been lucky. Although at first no one believes that this tender "Bubi" will ever become a real boxer. But then he climbs into the ring in his mother's bathrobe and wins his first fight with flying colors. The press celebrates him, women lie at his feet. Bubi falls head over heels in love with Helga Druck, the beautiful daughter of a beauty salon owner. In 1951, Scholz becomes German welterweight champion.
