Synopsis

Espinosa is a Spanish mercenary who recounts his experience fighting in Ukraine from a first-person perspective. A unique, front-line testimony from a young man who once seemed destined to rule the Aran Valley. For nearly two years, the documentary follows this soldier-trained in elite units of the Spanish army and the French Foreign Legion-who stands out among the foreign fighters trying to resist the Russian invasion. His story offers a glimpse into the business and horror of war, as well as the psychological toll of post-traumatic stress. But his real battle begins when he returns home and tries to rebuild the life he left behind.
