Synopsis

Ernesto Sanchez, 14, lives in Esmeraldas, Ecuador and is a soccer fanatic. All he does is dream of playing on a Qatari team, the same team his idol Carlos Tenorio played on. Since he was six years old, his beloved mother and father worked day and night to give him the opportunity to train. Their love and faith in God have been the pillar of strength for his family. A tragic turn of events puts young Ernesto to the test when a horrible robbery changes his life forever. Years after the tragedy, he finds himself taken to the streets committing petty crimes that threatens any hope of becoming a soccer star. But a local unconventional priest takes him under his wing to help him regain his faith in the Almighty and his love for the game.
