Synopsis

At dawn on October 7, 2023, thousands of Israelis woke to what seemed like a routine rocket barrage from Gaza. Within hours, their world would change forever. Through intimate testimonies of seven survivors, "Saturday October 7" chronicles the darkest day in modern Israeli history, when Hamas terrorists infiltrated civilian communities across southern Israel. The story follows the story of seven survivors: 1) Yuval Raphael, a survivor of the Nova Music Festival Massacre who hid under dead bodies inside a bomb shelter and who is currently representing Israel at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest. 2) Mazal Tazazo, a survivor of the Nova Music Festival Massacre who watched her two friends murdered beside her. 3) Millet Ben Haim, a survivor of the Nova Music Festival Massacre, who narrowly escaped with her friends by hiding in the bushes in a field. 4) Hadar-Or Elmakias, a worker and survivor of the Nova Music Festival Massacre, who was shot in the leg and may never be able to run again, her favorite hobby. 5) Guillermo Rochman, a survivor of the Kibbutz Nirim Massacre who hid inside their home's bomb shelter with his sons and wife as terrorists killed his neighbors. 6) Guido Kohan, a survivor of the Kibbutz Ein Hashlosha Massacre who hid with his father in their home's bomb shelter as terrorists lobbed grenades into his living room. 7) Shye Klein Weinstein, a Nova Music Festival Massacre survivor who was experiencing his first music festival ever and narrowly escaped with his friends.
