Synopsis
Balduin loves innkeeper's niece Lydia but is infatuated with singer Julia, kept by Baron Waldis. Dr. Carpis, jealous of the Baron, intervenes in Balduin's pursuit of Julia, exacting a high price that endangers Balduin's life and sanity.
